I was born and raised in Poland. After graduating from the Theater Academy in Krakow I worked for 17 years as a professional actress in theaters and movies, and also for tv and radio.

During my acting career I received several awards: one for best role and another for best actress. For several years I was also teaching at the Music Theater in Gdynia.

In 1993 I moved to the Netherlands, and in 1999 I went for seven years to New York. Travelling in all 50 US states I met numerous interesting people, and discovered exciting places and stories that I started to document on paper and on camera.

Since 2006 I am based in Istanbul where I work as an independent photojournalist for newspapers, magazines and other publications.
